Brain or Mind
Brain or Mind
As you know brain is a part of our nervous system that controls thought, memory, feelings and activity. but there s another word in English that can be used as synonym to it. This word is "mind".
On http://dictionary.cambridge.org "mind" is explained as "the part of a person that makes it possible for a person to think, feel emotions and understand things".
But "mind" is often used as a verb. For example: Do you mind I take your pen?
And do you remember the phrase "Never mind!", said by one of characters of Extra English? The meaning of this phrase is "not to worry about something because it is not important".
For example: "Never mind Susan – she can get home with someone else".
